The dining destination at The Hermitage Jakarta is back with its monthly culinary event bringing a respected chef from Yogyakarta.
After the success of Chef Take Over series in May and June at The Hermitage, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Jakarta, the monthly programme of the hotel’s 1928 Restaurant is back this July. Presenting Chef Owner Mili Hendratno from Mil’s Kitchen in Yogyakarta, together with The Hermitage Jakarta’s Executive Chef Ferdian Tobing, the duo will craft rich Indonesian culinary to uphold the hotel’s theme of “Reviving The Heritage: Reminiscing The Past, Embracing The Future”.
Having graduated from Bandung’s Tourism Institute in 2007, Mili honed his skills with outstanding stints in five-star hotels and restaurants in Indonesia and Germany. In 2017, he became the Executive Chef for Bowery and Eastman Coffee House, two outstanding eateries in Semarang under Tavern Group, and in July 2020, he established Mil’s Kitchen, which has gained quite the popularity and following in Yogyakarta.
The Chef Take Over series with Chef Mili will be held on 22 and 23 July 2022, where discerning diners can savour modern interpretations of Indonesian heritage dishes, such as smoked salmon rempeyek, bone marrow sapi klatak, mangut soft-shell crab and more. The five-course set menu is available at IDR728,000++ per person.
