The Mulia Bali joined its sister hotel, Hotel Mulia Senayan Jakarta, in the world-wide program to raise awareness of breast cancer and the need for screening and early detection, with a hotel-wide pink extravaganza throughout October. While the resort was decorated in pink, with pink lighting and pink-hued flowers, there was pink-inspired gourmet dining, hand-crafted confections, relaxing spa experiences and fitness centre guests wearing pink were afforded time with a private trainer free of charge. Meanwhile, in The Bar, the hotel’s pastry chefs presented a delightful, and completely pink, high tea.
With a choice of either classic or Indonesian tiered plates packed with sweet and savoury treats, from pink pastries, to cakes decorated in thick pink icing, pink batter on the fried bananas and even pale pink sticky rice surrounding spicy chicken, the aesthetics were delightful. The pink 29 Second, a bubble mocktail topped with ice cream, and Little Lusy, pink mixed fresh juice, were proffered alongside a range of free-flow hot or iced teas and coffees. With access to The Cafe’s divine dessert room, with its stunning range of house-made ice cream and gelatos, pink chocolate fountain and vast choice of cakes and sweets, guests could relax and indulge to their hearts’ content between 3PM and 6PM daily throughout October. High tea is available daily throughout the year, with the pink theme specific to October.
