Just in time for the summer holidays, this quarter sees a host of excellent family movies with a plethora of comedies, animations and action-packed movies set to entice and thrill. Again, with so many releases, selecting our favourites has taken some head-scratching, but nevertheless here’s three must-see light-hearted movies that will entertain and enthral kids of all ages.
Ant-man and the Wasp

As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his new responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by The Wasp, aka Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lily) and Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) who have an urgent new mission. The highly anticipated sequel to Marvel’s 2015 Ant Man, Scott must once again put on the suit and fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.
Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation

In Sony Pictures Animation’s Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, join our favourite monster family as they embark on a vacation on a luxury monster cruise ship so Drac can take a summer vacation from providing everyone else’s vacation at the hotel. It’s smooth sailing for Drac’s Pack as the monsters indulge in all of the shipboard fun the cruise has to offer, from monster volleyball to exotic excursions, and catching up on their moon tans. But the dream vacation turns into a nightmare when Mavis realizes Drac has fallen for the mysterious captain of the ship, Ericka, who hides a dangerous secret that could destroy all of monsterkind.
Johnny English Strikes Again

Currently teaching at a minor prep school, Johnny leaps back into action to find the mysterious hacker. For this mission to succeed, he’ll need all of his skills – what few he has – as the man with yesterday’s analogue methods faces off against tomorrow’s digital technology. This third instalment is bound to be a favourite with fans of Rowan Atkinson’s terrific brand of comedy.
