It’s been a great year for golden oldies both in terms of fabulous tours and new albums and the year-end releases and concerts continue that nostalgic trend. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the sounds that will get you tapping your feet this holiday season.
Twenty One Pilots: Trench
Release Date: 5th October, 2018
Let’s start with Twenty One Pilots’ highly anticipated fifth studio album Trench. Scheduled to be released in October the album features 14 songs including the singles Jumpsuit and Nico and the Niners, as well as the recently released track Levitate. The dynamic duo will then embark on a world tour with the anticipation that new regional dates will be added soon.
Elvis Costello and The Imposters: Look Now
Release Date: 12th October, 2018
With a host of tour dates already booked and more to follow, the ever-prolific songsmith Elvis Costello will release his new album, Look Now, this October. The record reunites Costello with his long-time backing band, the Imposters, for the first time in five years. The lead track, Under Lime, with its Beatles-esque harmonies and horn arrangements is out now.
The Prodigy: No Tourists
Release Date: 2nd November, 2018
The often outrageous English electronic-punk outfit The Prodigy will let loose a new full-length recording in November, titled No Tourists. The album follows the aggressive musical pattern and progression the band’s founder and writer Liam Howlett is famed for, but with some added theatricals. With an unmistakable Prodigy sound, the jarring lead single, Need Some1 is out now
