A special afternoon session with Dilmah Tea Indonesia and Huize van Wely.
On 13 September, Dilmah Tea Indonesia held an event to introduce Robert Schinkel to its valued guests. Working closely with Huize van Wely at The Papilion Pacific Place in Jakarta, the fun casual event was named Af t Noon by Dilmah Tea.
Robert Schinkel is a tea sommelier and cocktail bartender from The Netherlands and has been Dilmah’s tea expert for more than seven years, creating many recipe books full of new tea-based drinks for the brand. Robert brings his knowledge and skills to the Dilmah International School of Tea to encourage guests to look at tea from a different angle.
On this occasion, Robert held a live demonstration on how to make one of his signature drinks, Two Teas in Different Ways. This creation uses chilled Dilmah rose tea with French vanilla, peach brine, white chocolate syrup and orange zest in a wine glass, and jasmine green tea in a teapot. When the two drinks are mixed, guests get to taste a perfectly balanced tea of jasmine with a twist of rose and vanilla. Along with his drink, special cakes were served by the winners of the Tea Inspiration for the 21st Century (TI21) competition.
Dilmah Tea Indonesia also used this opportunity to introduce Dilmah t-Lounge at Huize van Wely in Pacific Place Mall Jakarta. Being the first Dilmah Tea lounge in Indonesia, the space provides a comfortable atmosphere for people to meet up and indulge in hand-picked teas and tea-inspired dishes.
