Welcoming Christiane Ferger to the island as Alila Seminyak’s newest general manager.

As an iconic property alongside Seminyak Beach, Alila Seminyak is excited to announce Christiane Ferger the newly appointed general manager.
Hailing from Germany, Christiane is bringing 30 years of working as an experienced hotelier to the Island of the Gods. As the leader of the passionate hospitality artisans at Alila Seminyak, Christiane is ready to support the team to continue growing and adapting amid changes in trends and needs that come after these challenging times.
Her journey began in 1989 with Hilton Hotel & Resorts before joining the Hyatt family for the past 26 years. In 1996, she joined as an Assistant Banquet Manager at Hyatt Regency Cologne. Over the next 24 years, she progressed in food and beverage, event, sales, rooms and management roles at Hyatt Regency Cologne, Park Hyatt Saigon and Grand Hyatt in Dubai and Tokyo. In 2020, she became Acting General Manager at Grand Hyatt Tokyo, where she and her team had the opportunity to be part of the Enthronement of the Japanese Emperor with 13 heads of state and their delegations, as well as part of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and took care of its IOC hospitality venue.
In 2022, she marked her presence in Bali as the second female general manager among Hyatt hotels and resorts in Indonesia. Aligned with Alila’s and Hyatt’s values, her primary objectives are to lead and inspire the team to be creative, innovative, thoughtful future leaders and always be the best version of themselves.
Christiane’s greatest sense of achievement comes from supporting colleagues in any way she can to grow and develop their careers, then seeing them becoming inspiring leaders. To continue nurturing her passion, Christiane is taking part in supporting the Women@Hyatt initiative, a programme that aims to empower women colleagues and develop their career growth leaders.
