Her penchant for beauty and fashion has led Gladys to build her own skincare and fashion brands. In between her activities, she made the time to talk to us about the key to success.
Q: How did you first get into the beauty care business?
A: I always have a passion in beauty, skincare and fashion since the beginning. In the beginning I was selling skincare from other brands, and then I learned and learned, until one day I started to create my own skincare products and label.
Q: You also runs an F&B business. Can you share what you are up to these days? Any new project that you can share with our readers?
A: I always wanted to run a restaurant and cafe of my own with such unique concept and different ambience, and thankfully it came true and things went smoothly. Currently I’m developing some new beauty products and drinks, and also a new collection for my fashion brand.
Q: With a strong and massive band of followers, how do you plan to use your power to influence your fans?
A: With storytelling via my social media platforms, I always encourage my followers to achieve their dreams with hard work and self-improvement. I always make sure to share positivity throughout my social media platforms.
Q: With your many activities, you must have a busy schedule. What is your secret to a balanced life?
A: I always manage to have me time to relieve my stress. Another tip from me is to have a healthy lifestyle. I take 15 to 30 minutes of my time to work out and start my day with yoga.
Q: How do you define success, and what do you think is the key to success?
A: Success is when we can be happy with things we do. I’m so grateful that my job is truly my passion. The key is to never give up, give the best in everything you do, and never be afraid to take a risk.
Q: Throughout your career, what is the biggest challenge you’ve come across and how did you overcome it?
A: I would say that the market competition is the biggest challenge. Of course, we need to keep innovating. Be innovative with my brands is the way I overcame the challenges.
Q: Tell us something about you that not many people know.
A: That I started from the bottom when I was a sales promotion girl.
Q: If you had not taken this career path, what would you have chosen?
A: I think I would still be an entrepreneur, but in a different field.
