Nyepi is a day of profound significance in Bali, observed annually to mark the Balinese New Year according to the Saka calendar. It is a day characterised by absolute silence meditation and self-reflection, as the island comes to a standstill in reverence of this ancient tradition.
The Hush of Serenity experience at The Hava Ubud invites guests to join a journey of inner peace and tranquillity. From 10 to 12 March 2024, guests are invited to immerse themselves in a rich array of activities designed to rejuvenate the mind, body and soul.
One of the highlights of The Hush of Serenity experience is the electrifying ogoh-ogoh Parade, a vibrant procession that captivates the streets of Ubud. Guests will have the opportunity to witness intricately crafted giant effigies depicting mythological creatures, accompanied by traditional music and dance performances, immersing themselves in the festive spirit of Silence Day.
Additionally, guests can partake in a Balinese cooking class, where they will uncover the secrets of Balinese cuisine under the guidance of experienced chefs. Through hands-on cooking sessions using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, participants will learn to prepare and savour traditional dishes, gaining a deeper appreciation for Balinese culinary heritage.
Culinary delights await as well, with special lunch and dinner menus curated by The Hava Ubud’s talented chefs. Featuring seasonal ingredients and authentic Balinese flavours, these exquisite dining experiences promise to tantalise the taste buds and elevate the senses. Reservations in advance is essential.
