Lobo & Juno’s 7 Culinary Art

In Jakarta’s bustling culinary scene, a new trend is taking centre stage – one that marries the visual splendour of fine art with the sensory delights of gourmet cuisine. This innovative fusion of art and gastronomy is creating waves, turning dining experiences into immersive, multi-sensory journeys. Leading the charge in this trend is Lobo & Juno at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Mega Kuningan, with its groundbreaking event, 7 Paintings.

Lobo & Juno recently hosted a special culinary event that transcends traditional dining. Aptly named 7 Paintings, the event celebrates gastronomic excellence and artistic inspiration. This interactive dinner series further cemented to the restaurant’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of what a dining experience can be.

Beef Carpaccio inspired by Banksy

At the heart of the 7 Paintings event is the seamless blending of culinary craftsmanship with artistic creativity. Each dish on the seven-course menu is inspired by a famous painting, transforming the meal into a visual and flavourful homage to art history. This innovative approach allows guests to not only taste but also see and interact with the art that inspires each course.

For example, there was a dish inspired by Picasso. A plate of salmon ceviche garnished with lime, shallot, chilli, coriander and olive oil. The dish is prepared and plated with techniques that mimic the bold, abstract strokes of Picasso’s work, creating an eye-catching masterpiece on the plate. Guests are even invited to paint their dishes, adding a personal touch to the dining experience and making it truly unique.
