Art Jakarta 2024 Returns With Diverse Artistic Showcases

Featuring unique installations, interactive experiences and charity initiatives, Art Jakarta 2024 promises an exciting celebration of contemporary art and creativity.

Art Jakarta 2024 will return to JIEXPO Kemayoran in Jakarta from 4-6 October 2024, captivating art enthusiasts and collectors. This year’s event will feature 73 prominent galleries from Indonesia, Southeast Asia, and beyond, showcasing diverse collections and elevating the audience experience. The expansion to three halls will provide a more spacious and comfortable setting for attendees.

The event is supported by four Main Partners: Julius Baer, UOB Indonesia, Bibit & Stockbit, and Treasury. Julius Baer will host a special exhibition featuring renowned Indonesian artist Sunaryo at its VIP Lounge. UOB Indonesia will display works from the UOB Painting of the Year competition winners. Bibit & Stockbit presents “Knit by Knit,” an exploration of financial management through art, while Treasury will feature “Exponential Echoes” by Bandu Darmawan, an interactive art installation.

The AJX programme has expanded to include collaborations with three institutions: ISI Denpasar, the National Visual Art Development Board of Malaysia, and Eugene Museum in Bali, reflecting a broader partnership network and a richer artistic experience at Art Jakarta 2024.

Art Jakarta 2024 will feature an array of unique presentations from diverse artists. Highlights include SUPERMUSIC’s “Super Art Box,” offering an adventure into music and entertainment, and Smeg’s collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana, presenting 100 hand-painted “Refrigerators of Art”. With this/PLAY, Roca explores “Naked Tone,” an immersive installation celebrating the freedom of singing in the shower.

Moving on, iForte’s collaboration with Eldwin Pradipta introduces “DataFlesh,” an interactive visual projection, while Taco’s “In Collaboratio Veritas” by indieguerillas reflects unity through creative play. Blue Label collaborates with HONF for “Immaculate Virtue,” merging luxury with ethical artistry. MINI showcases “Ketok Mejik” by Erwin Windu Pranata, highlighting sustainability and joy. Artotel Wanderlust collaborated with Uji “Hahan” Handoko on “Pelantang 20.20.000 Hertz,” a metaphor for exceptional creativity. Additional features include Vinilon x Stanley’s “Hydrogrid, Hydration,” a functional art installation, and RMHC’s charity auction and interactive “Bears for Bricks” campaign.

Moreover, with a diverse line-up of exhibitors and innovative partnerships, Art Jakarta 2024 promises a dynamic showcase of contemporary art, interactive experiences and dialogues through its signature programmes like AJ SPOT, AJX, AJ SCENE, Play by UOB and AJ TALK.
