Q: How would you describe your responsibilities?
A:
As a sales and marketing leader, my role is to find opportunities to help us grow and stand out. I work closely with the sales team to ensure competitive pricing and maximise revenue while also collaborating with marketing to create compelling campaigns that attract and engage guests through various channels. Building strong relationships is key, especially with clients, travel agencies and business partners. Internally, I motivate my team, track performance and ensure we always align with our targets. 

Q: What does a typical day look like for someone in your position?
A:
My morning starts with reviewing key performance metrics like booking rates and revenue. I then check with the sales and revenue team to discuss ongoing negotiations and new business opportunities. Collaboration is a big part of my day, and I often brainstorm with marketing on upcoming campaigns or review social media content to ensure our brand messaging is impactful.

I also attend industry events to strengthen relationships and explore new market trends. In between, I negotiate contracts, fine-tune sales strategies and guide my team to keep us on course toward our goals. No two days are the same, but that’s what makes this role exciting!

Q: What’s the toughest part of your job?
A:
Balancing all the moving parts while staying focused on long-term growth. Aligning all departments and ensuring seamless communication takes constant effort. There’s also the pressure of consistently driving new business and increasing revenue in an ever-evolving and competitive market. Staying ahead of industry trends while adapting to shifting consumer demands is demanding, but it also presents exciting opportunities for innovation. Overcoming these challenges keeps me motivated and sharp!

Q: What do you find most satisfying about your work?
A:
Nothing beats seeing a strategy come to life and deliver results. Whether it’s a successful partnership, a well-executed marketing campaign, or a revenue boost, those wins are incredibly rewarding for me and the entire team. I also love witnessing the steady growth of our hotels, month after month, year after year and turning one-time visitors into loyal guests make all the hard work worthwhile. 

Q: What makes your properties different from others?
A:
It’s the people, the breakfast, the landscape, the activities and the guests! Where else can you hang out with otters, ride a pony within the resort, then try archery? Padma Resort Legian offers five swimming pools to soak in and at Padma Resort Ubud, its heated infinity pool offers a serene dip right in the middle of the jungle.
