Art Jakarta Gardens returns for its fourth edition on 22–27 April 2025 at Hutan Kota by Plataran, inviting visitors to experience contemporary art in an open-air setting in Jakarta. With 25 galleries from across Indonesia participating, the art fair presents an imaginative blend of visual works, performances and sculptures in a space that encourages curiosity, interaction, and slow appreciation.
First held in 2022 as a creative response to pandemic-era limitations, Art Jakarta Gardens has steadily gained recognition as one of the country’s most engaging cultural platforms. This year, Art Jakarta Gardens makes the most of Jakarta’s green urban space by bringing together curated art tents, a varied Sculpture Garden, and a broader public programme filled with live performances and collaborative installations, maintaining its distinct and refreshing approach.
The Sculpture Garden stands out again with standout works such as King Saladeen’s Sit on the Bench, Agugn and Sekar Puti’s Emotional Safeguard, and Yani Mariani’s Terbanglah Bunda. Each work invites personal reflection and adds to an ongoing exchange of ideas between artists, curators and those who engage with the art.
Art Jakarta Gardens also sees notable contributions from lead partners Bibit, Treasury, and BCA. These collaborations present artworks exploring value, creativity and human connection. Interactive installations such as Flower for the Future by Abenk Alter and Golden Age by Arkiv Vilmansa offer visual impact and room for reflection.
Beyond the galleries, music and performance art add a further dimension to the event. Acts like FLOAT, Reda Gaudiamo and Prehistoric Body Theater will be taken to the stage, thanks to support from Bakti Budaya Djarum Foundation and RURUradio Lounge. Meanwhile, organisations like RMHC and iForte bring broader social and technological narratives into the conversation.
The fair opens exclusively to VIP guests on 22 April before welcoming the public from 23 April onwards. Set in a space where city life meets green surroundings, Art Jakarta Gardens continues to grow as a cultural anchor that reflects how art connects, questions and responds to our world.
