A very romantic location, especially at early evening as the setting sun turns salmon and the crimson sky turns to a dark starry night.
Close to Bali’s international airport and with super views over the Indian Ocean, Patra Jasa Bali Resort & Villas has just opened its rebranded signature Italian restaurant The Rinascimento for both resort and walk-in guests.
Patra Jasa Bali Resort & Villas is billed as a restful beachfront retreat within a serene tropical landscape and, set in the heart of Tuban, South Kuta, it is a lush, large and peaceful escape from the shops, bars and restaurants the town is famed for. Its location, coupled with its fabulous facilities, has over the years attracted many international dignitaries and heads of state and is ideal as a base or, with its great facilities, for a resort-centred holiday.
The Rinascimento has been redeveloped and from August offers diners a choice of comfortable seating options and traditional Italian food. Indoors, in a cleverly designed and spacious dining area – something of a cross between a Georgian conservatory and a traditional Balinese pavilion, discover a more formal approach with white, leather-backed chairs with contrasting tables, high traditional ceilings and stone floors. Outside, on the large raised wooden deck, it’s less formal with comfortable all-weather patio furniture.
The views are beautiful and typically coastal Balinese from within the pavilion and from the deck, with both overlooking the ocean, pool and gardens. The raised wooden, stepped platform is perfectly situated to watch one of the best sunsets on the island and, unsurprisingly, it’s a popular location for romantic couples, who can also enjoy a cocktail or two from the drinks menu before ordering dinner.
As one expects on the island, the service is good and the staff courteous and helpful. The small, chic restaurant is able to seat 50 and with a menu that offers a range of classic Italian dishes, including pizza from the wood-smoke oven, it could prove to be very popular indeed.
