Introducing Potato Head Studios, a new hotel in Seminyak where sustainability takes centre stage.
Famously known as the place where youngsters and stylish people hang out, Potato Head, now known as Desa Potato Head, is Bali’s most prominent lifestyle centre. First gaining popularity as a beach club around ten years ago, the whole complex of Desa Potato Head has now grown into a spot to support creativity, aiming to make positive changes for a better tomorrow. After adding inspiring dining outlets, such as Ijen and Kaum, Desa Potato Head has now debuted the first Indonesian plant-based restaurant with Tanaman, and a new environmentally friendly hotel, Potato Head Studios.
Designed in collaboration with architect David Gianotten of OMA, Potato Head Studios feature both private guest rooms and public spaces, including an exhibition space, a sunset bar and underground nightclub.
The new beachfront hotel offers the chance for guests to rest within the village. Comprising 168 spacious studios, the hotel was conceptualised by famed British designers Max Lamb and Faye Toogood. With sustainability at its core, the whole building is furnished with bespoke pieces made from locally recycled materials.
Inside each studio, guests are treated to a selection of amenities to help preserve the environment. Aside from the comfortable bedding and workstation, guests are supplied with a zero-waste kit that includes a water bottle, RPET tote bag, bamboo cutlery and straws. In addition, all-natural bath products and refillable essentials, that include sun screen and after-sun care, are readily available to help create a hassle-free holiday experience for every guest.
