Bringing back one of the most awaited annual parties of the summer was W Bali with SPF 2017 on 22nd July. With the theme Fever Dream, the day-to-night event brought an interesting concept of Day Dream vs Night Dream, with the party kicking off at 1pm and comprising endless performances from W’s resident DJs and cool, interactive workshops. Jakarta-based designer and illustrator Fajar Domingo was responsible for this year’s SPF decor and psychedelic visuals.
Furthermore, guests were entertained by activities like Express Your Style, where they could create their own Fever Dream-themed party accessories including hats, masks, makeup and hair styles. Then there was Live Screen Printing that allowed guests to customise their tote bags or t-shirts with W’s eclectic designs. There was a communal giant canvas on which guests could collectively express their art, and where the first 50 painters also received a pair of Havaianas sandals.
For those who came for the music, the W Sound Suite Pop Up gave quite a treat as the music studio created a music corner for jam sessions led by great local talent like Matajiwa, Rizal Rasendriya and Sandrayati, and it was open for everyone!
The Night Dream part began as the sun set, with the two headlining international DJs, Christoph and Osunlade, helming W Bali’s Woobar decks for an evening filled with stylish music and dancing.
