Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts celebrates Horst Walther Jones’ ten years of continuous service to the company.
Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali has reached another milestone within the company celebrating a decade of service from General Manager Horst Walther Jones. Hailing from Germany, he began his career in the hospitality industry at a young age. A true visionary, he moved up the management ladder and around the world, from Mexico, to China and the Middle East.
Before setting his sights on new challenges in Bali, Mr. Walther-Jones joined the Swiss-based hotel management company in 2009 as general manager at Mövenpick Hotel Al Nawras in Saudi Arabia, then Mövenpick Jumeirah Beach Residences until 2016.
As general manager, he drives a series of unique offerings at Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali. The resort provides enriching experiences by incorporating entertaining and educating programmes for guests of all ages. With its family-oriented activities, the resort is known for including Balinese cooking classes, family cycling tours and wooden carving all year long.
“This is my tenth year with Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, and I have enjoyed lots of special moments, from the land of Hot Sands in the Middle East to the Land of the Gods in Bali. I feel extremely privileged to manage such an impressive hotel in one of the world’s most appealing and attractive destinations,” explained Mr. Walther-Jones. “It is a place where I have learned so much about culture and diversity, and I am looking forward to many more years to come.”
