Adding another reason to visit, Karma Kandara’s Le Club 22 introduces its first menu with a seafood-inspired fare.
Overlooking the sprawling azure, Le Club 22 is the newest addition to an array of exciting dining destinations at Karma Kandara. Famed for its exclusivity, the all-villa resort offers consummate comfort, excellent dining and the lure of unbridled relaxation. As the ultimate lifestyle destination in Ungasan, Le Club 22 is focusing on imaginative cocktails, and now, a menu that forms a celebration of seafood.
Le Club 22 has launched a menu brimming with dishes with European influences to go along with the bar’s inventive drinks, which feature an intriguing blend of Balinese ingredients and reputable European spirits. A salute to seafood near and far, expect to nibble on the likes of Japanese Sakoshi oysters on the half shell, dressed in red wine mignonette, fennel seed cocktail sauce and lemon, or langouste local rock lobster, topped with grilled tarragon butter.
If you’re still hungry, there are plenty of main dishes to choose from, including the renowned Hamburg luxe, a wagyu patty with smoked gruyere, bacon shallot jam, and bone marrow croquettes with wild arugula and a handmade purple mostarda. Or, grilled whole barramundi with tomato concasse, garlic, olives, capers and extra virgin olive oil.
Sweet tooths are in luck too, with Le Club 22 introducing a trio of desserts for guests. Including a traditional crème brulée with strawberries, and a decadent chocolate mousse with tonka bean and dark cookie crumbles. All dishes are designed to be partnered with one of the venue’s bespoke cocktails, or speciality chilled wines.
Importantly, ingredients are sourced locally, explains chef Joseph Antonishek, who dreamt up the seafood-inspired offering. He says, “we only use local suppliers with local ingredients, except for our imported meats and wild salmon gravlax. This we cure with Ricard which is the key ingredient in our omelette, topped with house-smoked salmon roe.”
