Welcoming the new year with an exquisite feast and staycation package.
The Lunar New Year is a time for celebration and welcoming joy and prosperity with family and friends. Marking the first year of the Chinese zodiac, the rat is seen as a sign of wealth, cleverness and quick thinking, and they represent abundance and new beginnings.
In the spirit of new beginnings, the newly awarded Michelin-starred restaurant, Rùn, is taking part in making your celebration more personal. Helmed by chef Hung Chi-Kwong, the restaurant has created three special handmade Chinese New Year puddings for gift-giving. The glutinous rice pudding is a symbolic tradition for reaching new heights of prosperity in the upcoming year and guests get to choose either Japanese daikon radish pudding, rose-flavoured brown sugar pudding or taro cake with Japanese dried oysters.
For feasting with the family, the restaurant will delight diners with its Lunar New Year Specialties menu, which includes Lo Hei, roasted crispy suckling pig with assorted vegetables, as a prosperity toss.
The St. Regis Hong Kong is also offering a great stay package with Reach for the Stars – A Michelin journey. From now until 31 March 2020, guests can stay in one of the deluxe rooms and receive dining credit that can be spent at either Rùn or L’Envol.
