Amarterra, an elegant, eco-friendly pool villa resort in Nusa Dua styled as a Balinese village, recently played host to a congenial evening all about scent. Co-hosted by ScentAir, a global company behind the creation of scents and scent marketing strategies for businesses, including luxury hotels, the evening saw a gathering of hoteliers mingling with the hosts to experience and understand the importance of this basic human sense.
A scent hunt to identify five charismatic fragrances, including freshly mown grass and holidays, was followed by cocktails and canapés alongside the shimmering lotus pond. The pre-dinner keynote speaker was Professor I Gusti Ngurah Sudiana, a prominent expert on Balinese Hinduism, who gave an entertaining and enlightening talk on the meaning and importance of scent in Bali’s Hindu culture. After a lively question and answer session, a fragrant Balinese feast paired with delectable wines was presented by the Amarterra culinary team.
