On 16th March, The Westin Jakarta celebrated the opening of Food for the SeOUL the ultimate Taste of Korea, its first food promotion for Seasonal Tastes restaurant. Located on the 51st floor, guests to the event were regaled with splendid views of the picturesque sunset over the Setiabudi skyline as the celebrations began.
The enchanting evening was opened with the mesmerising Korean Salpuli dance, performed by a graceful Korean dancer dressed in a stunning pristine-white dress. A soulful Samulnori performance by a Korean percussionist assemble followed. After the performances, the opening speech was given by Arun Kumar, general manager of The Westin Jakarta, followed by a few kind words by honoured guest Madame Gye Young Oh from the Embassy of Korea.
The Westin Jakarta had the honour of hosting acclaimed guest chefs Kim Dae Jin and Heang Hae Song, flown in from JW Marriot Seoul specifically for the event. Until 26th March, guests of Seasonal Tastes restaurant enjoyed all-time favourites such as bibimbap, Korean barbeque and bulgogi in addition to a variety of other Korean delights.
