Louis Vuitton opened its newly renovated Plaza Indonesia store to further enhance comfort for its devoted clientele.
Louis Vuitton finally debuted its refurbished Plaza Indonesia store in Jakarta, providing a fresh outlook on shopping. Showcasing a fusion of different architectural approaches, the recently renovated store blends local culture with an international appeal that is still centred around the world of Louis Vuitton. Customers visiting the store will be treated to a stunning display of the brand’s collection, which includes leather goods, accessories, fragrances, travel, shoes, watches, jewellery, and a selection from Louis Vuitton’s Objets Nomades collection.
To showcase the beauty of Indonesian culture, the store worked with Indonesian interior and product designer Yuni Jie to carefully choose local materials, artwork, and design elements. The design highlights two elements: a floor covering modelled after Indonesia’s undulating waves and a ceiling made of locally grown rattan and raffia. Meanwhile, Pharrell Williams’ signature Damoflage motif can be found adorning the ceiling in the men’s leather goods and watches area. The marvellous artworks on display at the store include pieces by the renowned James Turrell, Agnes Hansella, Jemana Murti, Pande Giri, and Richard Irwin Meyer.
To keep providing comfort, the store has three private salon spaces available for client appointments. Each area is not just a regular room; rather, it is specifically designed to resemble a well-known location in Indonesia, such as sunrise at Borobudur, midday sun at Komodo Island’s pink beach, and sunset at Raja Ampat.
