Padma Resort Legian hosted an evening to remember on 2nd December 2018 with a wonderful gala dinner and concert featuring guest stars Solo Tango Orquesta from Russia. The lively evening was warmly welcomed by Bali’s residents, who dressed to impress. Guests gathered in Plumeria Ballroom for an elegant five-course, wine-paired dinner that opened with a Duo of Salmon and Scallop and included Parejas of Beef and Herbs and closed with the excellent Schwarzwälder Symphonie of reinvented Black Forest cake, all especially created by the resort’s corporate chef Degan Septoadji.
The highlight of the musical entertainment came from Solo Tango Orquesta, a quartet of passionate individuals who have dedicated their lives to tango music in all its forms and who have performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including in Berlin, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Seoul. The quartet played complex tango pieces with skill, verve and enthusiasm over two sets, the first of which was accompanied by some dramatic show dances performed by dance couples David Palo and Ratih Soe, and Michael Nadtochi and Paula Duarte. The second set saw tango enthusiasts in the audience show their moves on the dance floor. The evening ended with a lucky draw prize and flowers being awarded to the musicians.
