The award-winning resort introduces a new immersive experience for its guests by collaborating with highly acclaimed Indonesian composer and musician Aksan Sjuman.
Continuing its mission to highlight the wide variety of Indonesia, The Apurva Kempinski Bali collaborates with one of the country’s most renowned musicians, Aksan Sjuman. Through Anthology of Indonesian Music, guests at the majestic resort are invited to learn more about the fragments of the music every Saturday from 4pm to 6pm, where the artist in residency – Truedy – will introduce and conduct an exceptional performance to bring these musical notes to life.
Anthology of Indonesian Music was established under the umbrella of the Jakarta Arts Council and brought together influential musicians such as Aksan Sjuman, Anto Hoed, Anusirwan, Otto Sidharta, Aisha Sudiarso Pletscher and Budi Utomo Prabowo, who classify the development of music in Indonesia and form it as Indonesia’s historical and musical bible. These esteemed profiles have composed two series of musical bibles and provide a fairly complete narration in terms of giving a broad perspective of Indonesian music, and are expected to be the source in observing the Indonesian musical trajectories over the course of history.
“This is truly a special programme, and we are delighted to have such an esteemed profile as Aksan Sjuman join us in this movement. The music of Indonesia demonstrates its cultural diversity, and it is important for us to celebrate and tie it together in our 2023 campaign Powerful Indonesia,” shared Vincent Guironnet, General Manager of The Apurva Kempinski Bali.
