In a collaboration with Nyaman Gallery and in celebration of its first anniversary, throughout October Alila Seminyak presented a weekly series of live painting sessions at The Restaurant, inspired by an appreciation of fine food and fine art. The events brought together an eclectic mix of Indonesian and Bali-based artists featuring a variety of styles and mediums, from tribal and spiritual influences to surrealism and street style, to provide an exciting visual accompaniment to The Restaurant’s signature bites.
The diverse line-up of artists included YOKII, known for his aggressive experimentation with different materials; Lukman Fauzi, who forms surreal shapes and stories through everyday objects like candles and eggs; Bunny Bone, a young, self-taught artist; Shaolen, whose work is inspired by dreams and visions of spirit warriors; and Quint, whose street art fascinates passers-by in Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu and Ubud. To take a look at the finished pieces, take a stroll through Alila Seminyak’s resort lobby where each artist’s work is now on display.
