Art Spree at W Retreat & Spa Bali
On Saturday, 21st July, Bali got a bit more cultured as TAKSU, one of the most exciting art galleries on the island, hosted its opening celebration of ‘Local’s Only,’ at the W Retreat & Spa in Seminyak. A little frenetic energy alongside the resort’s annual summer party helped to enliven the electrified atmosphere even more as guests were given the chance to get up close and personal to three brilliant Balinese painters who spiritedly refer to each other as friends as well as rivals. The exhibit runs through to the 30th of September and focuses on giving local artists a platform to be introduced and recognized by the public. One of Southeast Asia’s leading contemporary art dealers, TAKSU has galleries in Malaysia and Singapore and has over 20 years experience in the art business. Choosing to open in Indonesia in a strategic location just off the lobby at the W Retreat in 2011, TAKSU’s wildly popular Local’s Only exhibit got a kick start at the Gallerie Taksu situated within Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur and offers art lovers the opportunity to discover and fall in love with cutting-edge contemporary artists.
