MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE IN BALI
BALI ADVENTURE TOURS IS A LONG ESTABLISHED AND MOST AWARDED ADVENTURE TOUR OPERATOR WITH WORLD-CLASS ACTIVITIES RANGING FROM PREMIUM WHITE WATER RAFTING, JUNGLE TREKKING, RIVER KAYAKING AND MOUNTAIN CYCLING. IT IS WELL KNOWN FOR ITS TOP-NOTCH FACILITIES, SUCH AS THE ELEPHANT SAFARI PARK & LODGE, WHERE YOU CAN TOUCH, FEED AND RIDE AN ELEPHANT THROUGH THE TROPICAL JUNGLE OF BALI. BALI ADVENTURE TOURS SPECIALISES IN BOTH FAMILY ORIENTED EXPERIENCES AND OFF-THE-BEATEN-PATH ADVENTURES AND HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS.
One of their tours is the combined ‘Afternoon Rafting & Safari Under the Stars’ experience that is one of the most popular programs on the island. The action starts when you launch into a 9.6km river stretch, navigating through 33 class II and III rapids set against a backdrop of unspoilt rainforest, towering gorges and magnificent rice paddy terraces. Their professionally trained and experienced guides pilot safety-equipped rafts through the best river runs, dramatic drops and spectacular waterfalls to make the rafting ride both a fun and awesome experience.
This action-packed two hour journey ends at the newly opened Ubud Adventure Centre, that offers five-star service and state of the art premium facilities. Changing rooms, computerised lockers, showers and spacious restaurants offer a wide variety of food. Other facilities include a professional photoshop, Japanese themed spa and large spacious parking, where attentive staff use a streamlined system that gives guests more value than they would ever expect from a rafting company. It can only be described as ‘Five Star’.
The tour is not over yet as you continue your trip in a Bali Adventure Tours air-conditioned bus, which is also equipped with GPS tracking, to the Elephant Safari Park for the ‘Safari Under the Stars’ night safari. When you arrive at the Elephant Safari Park & Lodge, you will be welcomed by a Park Guide and escorted to the Museum where you can see numerous artifacts relating to elephants. Get to know these giant creatures more by reading some information available in the Discovery Gallery. Here you’ll learn the numerous things about elephants, including the differences between Asian and African elephants and the amount of food and water they consume daily.
This evening program is designed to give personalised service where the park guide will escort you around the entire park, including a visit to the 4th baby elephant, named Fajar, born here in March 2013. After watching the elephant talent show, you board your elephant who will then take you on an exclusive elephant trek through the jungle before ending the evening with an extravagant dinner in the resort’s Pachyderm Palm Grove by the shimmering lake. A comfortable ride back to your hotel will then complete your adventure.
