For the first time after five years, Bali Island School (BIS) opened its doors for an open house on 18 January 2024. The open house was held for potential parents to get to know more about the school and everything it has to offer. During the pandemic, the school had to put the event on a hiatus for a while. However, now that the world is up and running, BIS is ready to welcome the community.
The homecoming event started with a Balinese Puspanjali Dance performance by BIS students before moving on to the main session. The talk show featured BIS Head of School Mike Miller, teachers and students who gave enlightening presentations on the educational culture at the school. Guests were allowed to ask questions to delve deeper into the topic. It wasn’t only the faculty who gave an eye-opening introduction to BIS, but the participating students shared inspiring stories as well. The open house was nicely wrapped up by a school tour so that the participants could see first-hand the facilities offered. With the attention it garnered, BIS decided to host the open house quarterly, each bringing a unique education-related theme.
Bali Island School is one of the prominent schools in Bali, known for its International Baccalaureate curriculum, offering all three of the IB programmes. The school aims to provide an outstanding educational experience for expats and local children on the island with a focus on international mindedness.
