From 24th to 30th September, cinema enthusiasts can rejoice over the much awaited, annual Bali International Film Festival. The festival is internationally recognised, especially for its programming diversity, combining Indonesian and international cinematic works. Independent films, award-winning fiction, documentaries, feature and short films can be enjoyed at the festival, where movie buffs and filmmakers can rub elbows in a relaxed and familiar ambience. With Cinemaxx theatre at Lippo Mall Kuta as its official partner, the festival aims to deliver cultural, political and economic benefits to the country. Last year’s screening included New Zealand’s “Hunt for the Wilderpeople”, Australia’s “Death or Liberty”, Indonesia’s very own “Negeri Van Oranje”, and more.
