Sparkling wines inspired by Italy, grown in Australia and loved throughout Indonesia
Launched in 2018 Bellissimo is a new and exciting range of sparkling wines crafted by Australian winemaker Mitch Hayhow specifically tailored for the Indonesian market.
Using hand selected, imported frozen ultra-premium Australian grapes, Hayhow has created two excellent wines, the Sparkling Moscato and the Sparkling Dolce Rosso, wines that are suitable for any occasion.
Perfect for the balmy tropical climate and well-priced, both of these balanced and aromatic effervescent wines offer elegant natural sweetness with zippy acidity and mouth-tingling sparkles.
Moscato has long been a favourite in Indonesia and this 100 percent Muscat Blanc wine made from grapes sourced from selected vineyards within south-eastern Australia and fermented and bottled in Indonesia, is a good example of this popular varietal.
A blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon crafted from grapes sourced from selected vineyards within south-eastern Australia and fermented and bottled in Indonesia, the Sparkling Dolce Rosso offers a colourful alternative to the Moscato.
Tasting Notes
On the nose, sweet Muscat and delicate white floral aromas combine with subtle lemon meringue leading to an abundant residual grape sweetness on the palate, balanced beautifully with mouth-watering natural acidity and a finish featuring delightful fine sparkles on the tongue.
Pairing
A great party or celebration wine, Bellissimo Sparkling Moscato is also food friendly. Its natural sweetness and vibrant aromas pair well with both deserts and spiced savoury dishes.
Serve well-chilled in a champagne flute.
Tasting Notes
With sweet black cherry and red berry aromas and just a hint of plum, the nose is enticing and leads the drinker to a sweet sparkling wine with fine tannins and balanced natural acidity and a lovely effervescent finish.
Pairing
Like the Moscato, it is great drink for a celebration or gathering but is also a versatile wine pairing well with richly flavoured food, strongly flavoured spicy dishes, fatty meats and rich deserts.
