Culinary Marvels at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali

The stylish family-friendly resort in Nusa Dua is proud to welcome a new dynamic trio that will elevate your dining and drinking experiences.

Sitting along the sandy white beach of Nusa Dua, The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali is pleased to welcome Chef Matthias Mittnacht, Pastry Chef Jason Licker and Mixologist Marlon Hermanto to its diverse team of professionals.

Led by Chef Matthias Mittnacht, this culinary team will heighten every guest’s dining experience. Using his expertise in lifestyle hospitality, Chef Matt is responsible for creating new dining memories at the resort, including Taco Tuesday, Barefoot Beach BBQ, Crab-a-Luscious and many more.

Next in line is Pastry Chef Jason Licker who began his culinary journey in Asia as Executive Pastry Chef at The Westin Bund in Shanghai, The Venetian Macau Hotel & Resort, JW Marriott Hong Kong, and was the appointed Corporate Pastry Chef of Cé La Vi restaurants in Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore. Chef Jason also debuted his first cookbook titled Lickerland: Asian-Accented Desserts in 2016. The book was named the second-best Asian cookbook in the world by The World Gourmand Cookbook Awards in May 2018. His second cookbook, Baking With Licker, combines his passion for Asian ingredients with his love of home baking.

Lastly, Marlon Hermanto brought his savviness in mixing drinks to the resort after helming some of the island’s popular bars. One of his specialities is creating palate-pleasing drinks with local ingredients that are light and flavourful. The guests’ dining experience will undoubtedly be elevated to a whole new level of excitement thanks to Marlon’s expertise in the preparation of delectable cocktails.
