A follow up to two acclaimed restaurants that include Tippling Club and Open Door Policy, Chef-Restaurateur Ryan Clift does it again with DING DONG, the culinary perfectionist’s ode to Southeast Asia. Situated in the new “”it”” area of Ann Siang Road, where many noteworthy eateries continue to open, DING DONG quickly made a splash in Singapore’s dynamic dining scene when it welcomed the public in July. DING DONG throws formalities aside with a “”small plates”” Asian tapas concept that encourages fun and friendly family-style sharing. Although the hype around Clift has made getting a reservation a bit tricky at certain times, what’s even more difficult is choosing from his thoughtfully conceptualised menu.
Standouts include the Kingfish sashimi with pickled daikon, the scallop ceviche with fresh coconut, the crispy crab and pork wontons, and the five-spice lamb ribs with sweet green chilli sauce. In addition to the light bites, DING DONG is also making a name for itself with an innovative signature cocktail list and a budget-friendly wine selection.
