Plataran hotels and resorts groups returned with another series of its Xtravaganza festival at Plataran Menjangan Resort & Spa.
On 2 November, Plataran L’Harmonie hosted Plataran Menjangan Xtravaganza 2019 – one of Plataran Indonesia’s events focusing on culture, music and environment that take place regularly throughout the year at Plataran hotels and resorts all around Indonesia.
Focusing on the group’s commitment to support local communities, preserve the natural environment and conserve wildlife, its latest event aimed at raising public awareness of coastal and marine ecosystems, in addition to engaging youth with the cause through its tagline: Millennials for the Forest.
Focusing on ecotourism and sustainability, culture and entertainment, and local entrepreneurship, the event was filled with enchanting music and exciting entertainment within West Bali National Park. Supported by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and West Bali National Park authorities, Menjangan Xtravaganza 2019 saw performances by musician Jamie Aditya, guitarist/songwriter Balawan, Indonesian folk band Dialog Dini Hari and pianist Astrid Sulaiman, among others.
The festivities did not stop there, as the festival also featured programmes highlighting the region’s natural beauty and cultural diversity, including an endemic tree planting project, coral planting and Bali starling release programme. Fun activities were also sought after, such as the art and culture festival, a culinary festival, cooking academy, mural festival, kite-making workshop, outdoor Zumba class and more.
