Dreams of sailing on your privately owned yacht across the archipelago’s waters and afar may possibly come true soon with the upcoming fourth edition of the Indonesia Yacht Show (IYS). The prestigious event, organized by PT Megawatt Asia and held at Batavia Marina Jakarta, will showcase the latest yachts and boats to millionaires in Indonesia and from around the globe who have massively deep pockets.
With more in-water displays, luxury products and appealing programs, as well as parties, this year’s edition is expected to bat the already impressive results from previous events down the park and attract at least 6,000 guests. The last edition drew more than 3,000 visitors from 10 countries, with 50 exhibiting companies from eight countries, including the UK, Italy, Hong Kong and Singapore to name a few, and gathered more than USD50 million worth of potential sales during the three-day event.
Moreover, the previous events placed Indonesia as one of the leading luxury yachting lifestyle exhibitions and markets in the region, which also attracted big name exhibitors such as Simpson Marine (distributor for Azimut Yachts), Aycer Yachts, Dimitri Marine (distributor for Ferretti Yachts), Princess Yachts, Wider Yachts, Gulf Craft and many others.
With the recent more “yacht friendly” regulations initiated by the government, the demand for luxury yachts, craft and boats by local upscale Indonesians and expats is growing tremendously. This will encourage investments in the country and stimulate the general economic development of coastal communities, resulting in a massive boom in the industry.
This year’s IYS extravaganza, held on 30th and 31st July, will run from 12PM to 8PM only.
The event will take place at:
Batavia Sunda Kelapa Marina
Sunda Kelapa Harbour Area
Jalan Baruna Raya No. 9, Jakarta
14430, Indonesia
