The brainchild of Executive Chef Tomy Suputra, this curated set menu pays homage to Indonesia’s celebratory culinary traditions, drawing inspiration from age-old recipes.
The origin of the Long Table Lunch traces back to a humble gathering at the brand’s Mambal workshop, where John Hardy’s staff, their families and patrons would convene for a communal meal. This heartwarming tradition has been lovingly upheld at the John Hardy boutique and gallery in Seminyak, offering a unique opportunity to savour the finest Indonesian cuisine while preserving the culinary customs of the island and the myriad cultures that have left their mark on it.
Nestled within the splendid two-storey gallery, jewellery emporium and dining haven, the Long Table lunches are set against a backdrop of terraced gardens and an ornate temple. This Seminyak establishment remains true to the spirit of the tradition.
With a fresh festive menu and expertly crafted cocktails, John Hardy Seminyak beckons to food enthusiasts seeking an authentic local dining experience – a perfect setting to revel with friends, family and holiday visitors during this joyful season.
This celebratory feast presents a sumptuous nine-course offering, including two delectable dessert choices. The menu showcases culinary delights such as Nasi Bakar, a local delicacy of heritage rice steamed, wrapped and grilled in banana leaves, sumptuous Sumatran beef short ribs, locally caught fish cooked to perfection in banana leaves, a signature tofu dish and more. Each meal is served with an assortment of Chef Tomy’s favourite sambals and krupuk.
From 1 to 31 December 2023, John Hardy will present this special menu. Reservations should be made at least one day in advance to secure a place at this exquisite table. During the festive season, guests have the option to relish a private dinner experience overlooking the beautifully illuminated garden, with a minimum requirement of 10 guests for this exclusive offering.
The festive feast is available at IDR550,000++ per person, with wine, cocktails and traditional mocktails available separately for those who wish to complete their dining experience with a drink of their choice.
