Jonathan Jeremy – Marketing Manager at W Bali – Seminyak

Jonathan Jeremy

Q: Describe your responsibilities in 10 words or less.
A: Crafting buzz, driving engagement and turning ideas into action!

Q: What’s a typical day in your line of work?
A: Of course, I start my day with a cup of coffee and changing into my uniform. I will then check my emails, write down my to-do list and, most importantly, enjoy myself at work!

Q: What about a typical day when you have a day off?
A: My day off is all about recharging and resetting. I spend quality time with myself and my fur babies. On my days off, I always take time to relax, go grocery shopping and cook delicious meals!

Q: What is the toughest part of your job?
A: I believe it is to stay up-to-date with all the newest trends and make our hotel stay sound as exciting as it is. It’s a challenge to capture the perfect balance of comfort and luxury in our marketing, all while making sure our messages stand out from our competitors. But it’s all well worth it when guests get excited about their next stay!

Q: What about the most rewarding part of your job?
A: The most rewarding part of my job is seeing how happy our guests are with their stay experience and knowing that our marketing played a role in their choice. It is wonderful to know that our efforts have had an impact when guests provide positive feedback and our marketing campaigns accurately represent what our hotels have to offer. It’s extremely satisfying to know that our efforts helped create special moments for them.

Q: What or who has influenced you the most throughout your career?
A: I’ve worked with great leaders throughout my career, and they have all been mentors from whom I’ve learnt a lot. If I had to name one person, it would be my former boss, Stephen Howard, who has had the biggest influence on my career. His leadership, vision, and commitment to excellence set a high bar that I strive to reach every day. His guidance and leadership style continue to inspire and motivate me in my career.

Q: If you hadn’t become a marketing manager, what career path would you have chosen?
A: I would be a commercial airline pilot where I could travel the world and get paid!

Q: Name one special thing about the properties you work for.
A: Whatever/Whenever! We’re the only W property in Indonesia, but we embody all the W Hotels. We always strive to meet our guests’ needs and make their requests happen – whatever they want, whenever they need as long as it’s legal, the sky is the limit!
