Q: Can you summarise your journey so far in the hospitality industry?
A: My passion for hospitality started in Nerja, Malaga, where I helped out in my family’s business. After studying at Hotelschool The Hague, I spent nearly 15 years in sales and marketing, working in the US, UK, Middle East and my home country of Spain. Now, I’m exploring Southeast Asia for the first time, bringing my skills to new horizons. Each place I’ve been has added something unique to my professional journey, and I’m excited to see what Southeast Asia has in store.
Q: What are your responsibilities?
A: In my current role I focus on enhancing revenue generation and engaging customers strategically. I work closely with teams like advertising and public relations to develop compelling marketing campaigns. I analyse market trends, competitors and customer feedback to make informed decisions, adapting our offerings to industry demands. Building strong client relationships, negotiating partnerships and collaborating with internal teams for a positive guest experience are all part of my responsibilities.
Q: Are you a team player or a team leader?
A: I see myself as a collaborator who values teamwork while also taking on a leadership role when necessary. I actively engage with various departments within the hotel, including sales and public relations, to foster a collective approach to marketing initiatives.
Q: What attracts you to the hospitality industry?
A: The daily interaction with people and the inherent unpredictability of each day. The opportunity to connect with diverse individuals and create unique experiences, coupled with the dynamic nature of the industry, keeps me engaged and motivated.

A: One paramount aspect that sets our hotel apart is our integral role within South Jakarta and its vibrant community. We have become a cornerstone in the corporate, meetings and weddings sectors, forging deep connections with the community. Beyond offering exceptional services, our commitment extends to being a central hub for various events and celebrations.
Q: Tell us one thing about yourself that not many people know.
A: I’m a fervent sports enthusiast, particularly drawn to the dynamic sport of padel. The strategic nature of the game resonates with me, and I enjoy both playing and following its evolution. Adding to my passion, I’ve completed an IronMan triathlon, showcasing my dedication to endurance sports and personal challenges.
