In honour of its second anniversary, Jumeirah Bali hosted the Glimmer of Hope, a charity event in collaboration with Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Located in the tranquil Uluwatu community, Jumeirah Bali celebrated its second anniversary with a heartfelt event. On 26 May 2024, the resort hosted the Glimmer of Hope charity event in collaboration with Ronald McDonald House Charities (Yayasan RMHC).
Ronald McDonald House Charities is a global non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting children undergoing medical treatments. Since its inception in Indonesia, RMHC has been providing essential services, starting in Jakarta in 2011 and expanding to Bali in August 2021. The Bali centre accommodates up to 35 families, offering critical care from Prof. dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital, the largest hospital on the island.
On the day of the event, the Jumeirah Bali team, representatives from Rekso Group (the resort’s owners), volunteers and media partners gathered at Yayasan RMHC to engage with children and their families, aiming to bring joy and hope into their lives.
The celebration began with a traditional Balinese rice cone (Tumpeng) cutting, symbolising unity and gratitude. Children were entertained by a captivating magic show and they participated in creative art and craft activities designed to ignite their imaginations. A storytelling session whisked them away to fantastical worlds, fostering dreams and resilience. Additionally, the culinary team from Jumeirah Bali led a fun cooking class where kids could learn to make and decorate banana muffins and pancakes. The event culminated in a communal lunch, fostering a sense of togetherness and community spirit.
