In a period where the hospitality industry is shifting its trends toward sustainability, the arrival of Kaura Bali on the island has been welcomed with open arms. Started as a community project between Cross Hotels & Resorts and Discova to repair the damaged irrigation system in East Bali, Kaura Bali is now an immersive village experience that works directly with the people of Manggis in Karangasem.
Overlooking the lush hills of Karangasem, Kaura Bali is an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Offering luxurious pavilions, guests can enjoy sunrise from the yoga sala each morning, or take a dip in the infinity pool with breath-taking views of the surroundings. For something relaxing, the spa is filled with traditional treatments crafted with sustainability
in mind.
Stepping outside the comfortable pavilions, guests are encouraged to take part in a range of experiences, from touring and working at the organic farms, to guided treks and cycling through the emerald Balinese steeps, or learn how to cook traditional dishes while preparing for an evening meal to be enjoyed together.
