Mandarin Oriental to Open Luxury Resort and Residences in Bali

It will feature 110 suites and villas, a diverse dining options, a speakeasy bar, and a beach club, and a comprehensive spa.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced the development of a new luxury resort and private residences on Bali’s southern Bukit peninsula, scheduled to open in 2027. This property, perched on a cliffside plateau, will offer panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and access to a secluded white-sand beach.

Designed by Design Lab architects and interior designer Jeffrey Wilkes, with landscaping by Bill Bensley, the resort will seamlessly integrate with its natural surroundings and reflect Balinese culture. The resort will feature 110 suites and villas, each with private terraces or gardens, most including private pools. Guests will enjoy diverse dining options, including a cliff-edge restaurant and bar, a speciality Chinese restaurant, a speakeasy bar, and a beach club.

Wellness facilities will include a comprehensive spa offering Mandarin Oriental’s signature treatments alongside Balinese-inspired therapies. Additional amenities will feature infinity pools, a fitness centre, a kids’ club, tennis and padel courts, and a beach club with water sports.

The resort will also provide a picturesque setting for events, with a cliff-front lawn offering stunning ocean views. For golf enthusiasts, the property is located near the Bukit Pandawa Golf Course and Bali National Golf Club.

The branded residences will consist of 68 private villas, ranging from three to six bedrooms, situated on an 8-hectare site above the hotel. These residences will offer access to a dedicated clubhouse, including lounge facilities, coworking spaces, function areas, a private gym, and a swimming pool.

Mandarin Oriental, Bali, developed in collaboration with local real estate developer Harmoni Bali, aims to blend tranquillity with luxury, promising an exceptional experience for guests and residents alike. The hotel is conveniently located 30 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport and close to popular tourist destinations like Jimbaran, Uluwatu, and Sanur.
