This 320 acre property makes for a truly unique location to celebrate with loved ones, removed from the hustle and bustle of the big cities for the ultimate intimate privacy.
Established by Frank Margan in the 1960s, Margan channels the warm ambience of its family-owned vineyard into their approach to service. Their wedding staff are experienced, thorough and most of all, more than happy to help you turn your vision of a perfect wedding into reality. Ceremonies can take place in the Courtyard Ceremony Area or the Garden Ceremony Area. Exchange wedding vows in a wonderfully intimate setting in the Courtyard Area, with its antique French gates, lush landscaping and a fountain centrepiece to complete the charming ambience. For those who prefer vows with a view, the Garden Area overlooks gorgeous vineyards with the majestic backdrop of the Brokenback mountain range.
Post-ceremony, head inside into the Barrel Room. The rammed earth building is constructed from sustainable and natural materials – raw in its beauty – and makes for a stunning stone edifice in the verdant scenery of the Broke valley. Inside, dim lighting will bring to life a marvellously romantic atmosphere; the walls are lined floor to ceiling with authentic, wooden wine barrels, while banquet tables will run along the length of the room, the candles illuminating the impeccable table settings.
Margan has a variety of dining options for your guests, from a simple and elegant menu package to an indulgent degustation that’s guaranteed to satisfy even the pickiest eaters. The restaurant side of Margan has been around since 2007 and is renowned for their fresh, garden to table dishes paired of course, with their award-winning wines. Margan’s philosophy, “estate grown – estate made,” is obvious in the meticulous care they put into the production of their wines and in their practice of designing an everchanging menu that takes full advantage of the seasonal harvest. Veggies and fruits are sourced from their very own one acre kitchen garden and orchard; olives, free range eggs, honey and lambs are produced on the property; and most other ingredients are grown in the surrounding local farms.
