The third bespoke property of The Ritz-Carlton Reserve portfolio has welcomed a new leader with 16 years of experience in The Ritz-Carlton brand.
Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve has recently announced the appointment of Masanori Hosoya as the new general manager for the award-winning resort in Ubud. With more than two decades of hospitality experience, including 16 years with The Ritz-Carlton brand, Masa will oversee all operations and business strategies for the resort.
Masa was born in Japan, raised in Spain, and spent most of his career in the luxury properties part of Marriott International. His journey in the hospitality industry started with food and beverage stints at various Michelin-starred restaurants. In 2005, Masa joined The Ritz-Carlton, Abama Tenerife before moving forward to Hotel Arts Barcelona in leadership positions. In 2014, he returned home to Japan to be the general manager of The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo and after, BVLGARI Hotel and Resorts, Tokyo-Osaka Restaurants. He also successfully opened The Ritz-Carlton Nikko near the serene Lake Chuzenji in 2020. Now his voyage has brought him to Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, the third bespoke resort in The Ritz-Carlton Reserve portfolio.
