The bar and social dining restaurant at The Gaia Hotel Bandung introduces its new after-hours destination with curated cocktails and delightful design.
Since its opening in December 2021, Monomono Bar & Social Dining restaurant has gained quite the following as the pioneer of Nikkei dining in Bandung. Serving Japanese-Peruvian flavours known as Nikkei cuisine, the restaurant is also a favourite for its Argentinian grill selection.
On 2 July 2022, the venue extends the experience with the opening of Monomono Now Bar, taking place on the level right above the restaurant. Its lengthy and contemporary cantilever structure will grab all attention at first glance, seemingly floating above the hotel’s infinity swimming pool with a waterfall feature on the end.
With the aim of offering a one-stop dining and drinking destination, guests can start the evening with a delectable dinner at the restaurant, showcasing signature dishes such as the Classico Ceviche, carne tenderloin and anticuchos. The Argentinian asado grill makes a hearty main course, with a wide range of premium cuts, like US Prime and Australian beef or lamb. The Peruvian arroz con pato and the salmon al miso are also a must-try. Keep an eye out for the asado lamb or cordero de asado every Friday night and Saturday afternoon.
After dining, it’s time for drinking and dancing at Monomono Now Bar. With a curated menu meticulously crafted by respected mixologist, guests can savour unique flavours inspired by different regions, in addition to refreshing twists on classic cocktails.
Try signature concoctions like Sake Of You, made from Born-Hoshi Junmai Daiginjo Sake, Tanqueray, dry vermouth and seaweed crackers, while Asiathique boasts subtle sweetness from pandan, coconut and gin. Another signature with a local touch is Mojang Priangan made with poh pohan leaf. Come on weekends to enjoy the DJ or live bands.
