Following the tremendous success of the Padma Run events in Bandung and Semarang last year, Padma Hotels is thrilled to announce the return of its much-loved running event with a new destination joins the line-up: Bali.
What began as a small charity run event at Padma Hotel Bandung in 2019 has blossomed into an annual highlight for both seasoned runners and hobbyists. Under the tagline #LaceUpForChange, the event dedicates all proceeds to a chosen cause as part of the Padma GIVE programme (Grant, Inspire, Volunteer, Empower). This year, Padma Run events will be held in Bandung, Semarang and Bali.
As running culture continues to flourish across Indonesia, Padma Run has hit new milestones each year. Starting in Bandung and later expanding to Semarang—where it now commemorates Padma Hotel Semarang’s anniversary every September—the event has united a vibrant community of runners. For those who love to combine sports with meaningful connections, this is an unmissable occasion.
Padma Run Bandung kicks off the new year with its 4th edition this February. Following last year’s incredible turnout of 1,100 runners from 54 cities and over 80 running communities, the excitement shows no sign of slowing down. This year introduces new 5K and 10K routes to Puncak Ciumbuleuit, designed with tougher elevations to challenge even the most dedicated hill-running enthusiasts.
By popular demand, Padma Run is expanding to Bali in 2025. This thrilling new addition blends the excitement of trail running with the allure of a tropical getaway. Hosted by Padma Resort Ubud, in collaboration with Padma Resort Legian for race pack collection, the first Padma Run Bali promises an unforgettable experience. Set amidst the tranquil bamboo forests of Payangan, runners will traverse scenic routes framed by lush hills, verdant landscapes and charming villages. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or soaking in the serene surroundings, this event offers the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation.
Meanwhile, Padma Run Semarang continues to elevate the experience for its participants, welcoming runners from across Indonesia and beyond. Featuring picturesque 5K and 10K routes that showcase Semarang’s unique charm, the 2024 event garnered praise for its seamless organisation, lively atmosphere and eco-conscious partnership with the Djarum Foundation on tree-planting initiatives. This commitment to wellness and sustainability ensures Padma Run Semarang remains a standout in the running calendar.
With a packed schedule spanning multiple destinations, 2025 is shaping up to be a landmark year for Padma Runners. From the picturesque trails of Bandung and Bali to the vibrant streets of Semarang, each event offers its own unique challenges, breathtaking scenery and unforgettable moments.
