Christian Wurm is a seasoned hotelier with nearly four decades of experience, including several properties of the extended Hyatt hotels company.
Originally from Germany, Mr. Wurm is fresh off his position at Hyatt Regency Hua Hin & The Barai in Thailand. He’s no stranger to the Park Hyatt brand, though, having previously led its hotels in Chennai, India and Sydney, Australia.
Starting his career in hospitality in 1988, Mr. Wurm has a a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Administration Management from Berlin, Germany, before continuing his studies with a Certification in Strategic Hotel Management from Cornell, New York. Since then, he has been working for premium hospitality names across the world – from Maldives, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, India and Thailand.
15 years ago, Mr. Wurm joined the Hyatt family, starting with finishing the GM development training called Foundation for the Future at Hyatt Hotel Corporation. His journey finally brought him to the capital city of Indonesia, leading the 220 rooms of the snugly high-rise Park Hyatt Jakarta.
