Bali Restaurant and Café Association (BRCA) aims to further develop Bali’s culinary scene through cooperation, sharing and networking.

Bali, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and vibrant culture, has long been a magnet for tourists seeking unforgettable experiences. Amidst the allure of its beaches and temples lies a hidden gem that deserves a recognition of its own: its burgeoning culinary scene. From tantalising local flavours to international cuisine, Bali’s dining landscape has evolved into a destination in its own right.

Out of Bali’s thriving culinary scene, Bali Restaurant and Café Association (BRCA) was established to foster collaboration, share resources and elevate industry standards across the board.

At the heart of BRCA’s mission lies a commitment to making Bali a world-class culinary destination. Recognising that unity is strength, BRCA emphasises the importance of every member establishment adhering to socially equitable, environmentally friendly and community-conscious practices. Through collective efforts, BRCA aims to address pressing challenges such as waste management, sustainable sourcing and energy conservation.

One significant stride towards sustainability comes in the form of a partnership with Eco Tourism Bali, a pioneering organisation championing sustainable practices. Through this collaboration, BRCA members gain access to Eco Tourism Bali’s sustainable guideline and verification system, enabling businesses to assess their sustainability efforts and identify areas for improvement.

Moreover, BRCA serves as a knowledge hub where restaurateurs, both seasoned veterans and newcomers alike, can exchange insights, seek advice and forge meaningful connections. Monthly luncheon events provide a platform for members to engage in insightful presentations, roundtable discussions and networking opportunities, all aimed at fostering growth and innovation within the industry.

The association’s recent expansion of its board reflects its ambitious vision for the future. Led by BRCA’s President Kertawidyawati and Vice President Min Siah, the board comprises individuals with diverse expertise, from sustainability and marketing to finance and operations. Together, they are dedicated to steering BRCA towards greater achievements and impact.
