So who will come through next year? Which artists will live up to the hype? And will any veterans reclaim their former glory? Only time will tell, but there’s no better way to prepare for 2015 than with the latest news on your favourite singer/band, performance schedules and the new music albums that we’re most excited about.
Marilyn Manson
Brian Hugh Warner, better known by his stage name Marilyn Manson, began his career as a watercolour painter in 1999. Some critics have described Manson’s music and lifestyle as a bad influence mixed with anarchy for the younger generations. His former relationships with women like Dita Von Teese, Rose McGowan and Evan Rachel Wood have made him even more famous. And this year, he will release his new album “The Pale Emperor”.
The Pale Emperor is the ninth studio album by American goth-metal-rock singer Marilyn Manson. It is expected to be released on 20th January, 2015, in the US. The standard version of the album will comprise ten tracks, while a deluxe edition will include three bonus tracks. Another deluxe edition is set to include four acoustic versions as bonus tracks. His first single from this album, “Third Day of a Seven Day Binge”, was released late in November. Manson will take his “The Hell Not Hallelujah Tour” on the road from January until mid-2015.
Ne-Yo
American pop and R&B singer-songwriter and record producer, Ne-Yo is gearing up to release his new album “Non-Fiction”. After a few delays, the singer has revealed the album’s official release date is January 27th, 2015, and that it will feature Jeezy, Juicy J and
ScHoolboy Q.
Last November, Ne-Yo showed to the public a visual for the album’s first single “Money Can’t Buy” on his social media. Wondering what to expect from this album? As previously reported, Ne-Yo says he’s ditching the dance music and returning to his R&B roots. Besides prepping for his own album, which is slated to be rather personal, he’s been slowly but surely stacking up the artists on his Compound label. He has also been taking his writing talents to help other artists work on their own material.
Diana Krall
2015 will be a busy year for Canadian jazz pianist and singer, Diana Krall. As her new album “Wallflower” will be released on 2nd February and she has announced her 2015 world tour on her website www.dianakrall.com. Wallflower was produced by David Foster. No wonder this album is one of the most awaited albums of 2015. Wallflower is a pure pop product, with the songs on it being more familiar than Krall’s usual jazz standards.
Krall is one of the most successful jazz singers across the globe. She began her career at an early age; her first album, “Stepping Out”, was released in 1993. After that she gained much success with her music and albums, having won five Grammy Awards and eight Juno Awards. She has also earned nine gold, three platinum and seven multi-platinum albums.
Kid Rock
Kid Rock has announced that his new album, “First Kiss”, will be released on February 24th. The album, his first with Warner Bros. Records, was produced by Kid Rock himself (with the exception of two songs, which were co-produced by Dann Huff) and recorded at his studio in Michigan. Plans for an ambitious 2015 tour will be announced shortly. As mentioned on www.kidrock.com, this album is more mature and well-planned than the last one.
Rock, energized by the success of his “$20 Best Night Ever Tour,” returned to the studio with renewed enthusiasm and cranked out First Kiss to keep the momentum going. First Kiss features blended Aerosmith-style rock with his country influences, from “Ain’t Enough Whiskey” to the melancholy country ballad “A Beer with Dad”.
