Plaza Indonesia and Happy Hearts Indonesia recently came together for a meaningful afternoon at La Moda, highlighting the growing need for clean water in underserved communities. The event introduced the Water for All campaign, bringing partners and advocates into a shared mission for lasting change.
In a heartfelt effort to improve access to clean water across Indonesia, Plaza Indonesia joined forces with Happy Hearts Indonesia to host a High Tea gathering at La Moda. The event served as a platform to introduce Water for All, a campaign focused on providing sustainable water solutions in underserved schools and communities.
The gathering also announced a strategic partnership with ABB, a global leader in electrification and automation. ABB’s involvement supports the expansion of the Water Access Project, contributing practical systems such as bore wells, rainwater harvesting, and piped distribution. This collaboration is designed to create long-term improvements where support is most needed.
Environmental advocate and Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2018, Vania Herlambang, shared her support for the initiative. Her ongoing dedication to education and environmental causes adds further significance to the campaign’s message.
The need for clean water remains urgent. In areas like East Nusa Tenggara, limited access to water affects every aspect of daily life. Children are often tasked with collecting water instead of attending school, and basic sanitation remains out of reach for many. Across Indonesia, more than half of schools face challenges related to hygiene and water access.
Happy Hearts Indonesia aims to build 20 wells in schools across East Nusa Tenggara by 2025, with plans to expand in the years that follow. The organisation invites individuals and partners to be part of this initiative, transforming challenges into stories of progress and hope. Clean water is not a luxury. It is a necessity for a better future.
