Enter The Penthouse and embark on an extravagant, yet relaxed and unpretentious gastronomic journey where sophisticated ambience, fine drinks, fresh produce and polished presentation are the order of the day.
The concept at The Penthouse is based on sophisticated comforts and enduring friendships, ideal to sit with a glass of fine wine, or a scrumptious handcrafted cocktail, in hand, surrounded by your favourite people as you enjoy the warmth of gracious conversation and an array of homestyle cuisine.
An intimate multi-sensory dining experience, The Penthouse is found on Level 4 of The Papilion Kemang. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it is unquestionably one of the city’s rising stars for relaxed dining, elegant socialising and chic celebrations.
The Penthouse boasts five individually designed areas, each with its own distinctive allure. Choose to relax and enjoy the breakfast and home-cooked cuisine served in The Pantry, take in a sophisticated afternoon tea or cocktail in The Living room, or indulge in a delectable Kaiseki Ryori dining experience in The Dining Room. The eclectic venue also boasts a carefully curated collection of wines and liquors served at The Library, and a range of delicious cocktails served within The Gossip Room.
With more than a passing nod to classic French-style kitchens, The Pantry is light and airy and serves meals throughout the day, including a classic breakfast with delights like eggs Benedict, omelette and eggs any style with a choice of hash browns or assorted freshly baked breads. Later, the succinct à la carte menu offers beautifully plated dishes like Nicoise salad, pan seared Seabass with basil and lemon sauce and gratin potato, which are sure to impress.
The Dining Room, helmed by the talented and experienced chef Takahashi Hideaki, presents à la carte options and set menus using the freshest seasonal produce, with the highlight being the dinner-only Kaiseki Ryori, a splendid, majestic, seasonal multi-course feast.
The Living Room, meanwhile, is a comfortable space embellished by Christopher Farr’s colourful textiles and is perfectly suited for the tapas, afternoon tea and seasonally inspired cocktails it serves. Enjoy libations like Shade of Evergreen, a blend of Midori, lemon, vanilla and sparkling wine or Pale Cyclone a subtle mix of Ron Zacapa, Malibu, Blue Curacao and pineapple water. There is also a large collection of mocktails, juices and shakes crafted with the same care found in abundance throughout The Penthouse.
The Library is unsurprisingly popular with executives and digital nomads. Furnished with plush leather sofas, it invites guests to enjoy the warm ambience and carefully crafted cocktails in a relaxing setting. The Library also boasts a wine list showcasing some of the most interesting terroirs of the world, along with The Library Collection, a selection of premium spirits.
Last, but by no means least, The Gossip Room is The Penthouse’s hidden playground. Enjoy a collection of Ladies Cocktails and light bites in this walk-in closet, designed to recreate the intimacy and fun of the pyjama parties of your college days.
A charming venue, The Penthouse can also be booked in its entirety for stylish, intimate celebrations.
