IHG Hotels & Resorts takes its rigorous health and hygiene protocols up another notch with new developments.
IHG Hotels & Resorts is redefining cleanliness and enhancing the experiences it offers guests in its hotels around the world. As the world adjusts to the new travel norms and expectations, IHG Hotels & Resorts is working with industry leading experts Cleveland Clinic, Ecolab and Diversey to further augment its science-led protocols and service measures.
“The future of travel may look different, but a safe, secure stay is fundamental to deliver true hospitality, and that will never change,” IHG Chief Executive Officer Keith Barr commented. “By combining IHG’s world-class knowledge and processes with cutting-edge expertise from Cleveland Clinic, Ecolab and Diversey, we can reassure guests and colleagues that we’re focused on protecting their health and wellbeing. This includes looking at where technology can make a difference, deploying enhanced, highly visible and more frequent cleaning measures, and different approaches to food and beverage, all underpinned by our new IHG Clean Promise.”
The hospitality group had committed to unrivalled cleaning procedures long before the current situation occurred. IHG Way of Clean programme launched in 2015, developed with Ecolab and Diversey, experts in hygiene and cleaning technologies and services. With the current situation, the programme has been expanded to include Covid-19 protocols and best practices.
In addition, IHG is also working closely with a team of medical experts from the globally known Cleveland Clinic to help with guidance and resources for the hotel teams to return to work and to keep guests safe in this new situation. IHG’s Clean Promise will be launched 1 June.
