The hotelier is expecting thousands to return and run for a good cause
Upon announcing the return of its annual “Road To Give” charity run, Marriott International in Bali has unveiled the location of the event. From 6am onwards on 21 October 2023, “Road To Give Bali 2023” will commence at Peninsula ITDC, Nusa Dua, Bali, and all are invited to join the run for a good cause.
Under Marriott International’s ‘TakeCare’ movement, this event is key to encouraging the company’s associates to move in unique ways to support charitable organisations and local communities in need. This goes hand-in-hand with its new People Brand, “Be,” which looks to empower associates to become the best version of themselves.
This year’s event connects 26 of Marriott Bonvoy’s Portfolio of Hotels and Resorts in Bali to join together in raising funds for Scholars of Sustenance to support its approach to tackling issues in food waste distribution, food deficit and nutrition among the impoverished. Additionally, Road To Give Bali 2023 will raise funds for Marriott International associates who were affected by the devastating fires in Maui, Hawaii.
Kemaryani Anom, Director of Human Resources of Courtyard by Marriott Bali Seminyak Resort and Chairman of Road To Give Bali 2023 had the following to say about the upcoming event;
“We are thrilled to hold this yearly event by encouraging our associates and the public to carry out several movements in different ways to support local organizations in our community following one of the company’s core values, which is ‘Serve Our World’. In this year’s event, we will be contributing to Scholars of Sustenance – a local organization that focuses on reducing food waste by collecting nutritious surplus food from restaurants across Bali and redistributing it to those in need.”
As part of the registration package, participants will receive a ‘Road To Give 2023’ jersey, access to a Zumba session, a fun 5k run, donations, door prizes, and medals for the first 100 finishers.
